Mr. Kwaku Baah-Nuakoh was the Country Manager for W-Safe Re for the period 2022/23. He supervised the setting of W-Safe Re Ltd, Ghana office. Kwaku’s strategy was to consolidate the Ghana Agriculture Insurance Pool transactions under the ambit of W-Safe Re Ghana office.

In Ghana, Kwaku set up the Life desk and negotiated a retro program with an A-rated security for W-Safe Group Life underwriting desk.

Prior to joining W-Safe Re, Kwaku held the position of an Assistant Manager in International Operations (Anglophone) Department with Ghana Reinsurance Plc. He supervised major responsibilities but not limited to helping grow the company’s profitability through effective supervision of the activities of the department: ensuring prudent underwriting, variance analysis report/budgeting and generally maintaining a good relationship between the department and its business partners.

Kwaku holds a BSc. Administration (Banking & Finance) and Master of Business Administration from University of Ghana Business School. Professionally, he holds a Diploma in Insurance from the West African Insurance Institute (WAII), The Gambia.

Kwaku is a member of Chartered Insurance Institute, U.K., and has extensively attended various courses/seminars both locally and internationally.

He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration from Universidad Catolica De Murcia (UCAM), Spain

With 15 years of experience working in the international market, he best understands the market activities better.

Mr. Kwaku Baah-Nuakoh, was an adviser to Sey Re Limited, Seychelles. He assisted in the drafting of Sey Re’s Business and Marketing Plan as well as reviewing their TOBA & AML/Compliance document for approval by the FSA of Seychelles later nominated as the tentative CEO.

Again, He has assisted a few new startups (reinsurance companies) in simulating technical projections and budgeting.

Kwaku’s areas of interest are Oil & Gas insurance, Agriculture Insurance, Medical Insurance and Marine underwriting. He was a Facilitator on Oil & Gas training discussing the Alpha Piper Claim extensively.
